2000 Series Filter

  • Clean at _____ lbs. pressure on gauge on top of filter or every three months
  • Run Pool Pump Three Hours prior to cleaning the filter
  • Turn off pool cleaner (close valve)
  • Shut off pool pump (switch is located in time clock)
  • Loosen drain plug (located at the bottom of the filter)
  • Open petcock located at the top of the filter (small black thumb screw)
  • Remove clamp band from around top of filter
  • Remove tank lid with lid removal tool making sure not to cut rubber o-ring or bend the lid or tank o-ring channel
  • When filter tank is 1/4 full remove drain plug quickly
  • Remove grids and wash with hose
  • Wash out inside of filter tank before replacing grids
  • Replace grids. Apply Teflon tape to drain plug. Tighten drain plug. Grease "O" Ring on filter. Start pump. Fill filter to within 2 or 3 inches from top. Shut off pump. Place lid on filter. Close petcock. When lid is down on filter, replace clamp band
  • Clean out pump basket, this will also need to be done on a weekly basis along with #14
  • Start pool pump. Open petcock. When water is expelled through petcock, close
  • Add _____ lbs. of diatomaceous earth into skimmer
  • Allow equipment to run for three hours after adding diatomaceous earth
  • Check pool return line for clarity some debris may come out but the water should clear up within one minute of running, air bubbles are acceptable
  • Turn on pool cleaner if necessary

Quad DE Filter

  • When to clean.
    • Fixed speed pump - Clean at _____ lbs. pressure on gauge on top of filter or never longer than three months
    • Variable speed pump - Clean at _____ lbs. pressure on gauge on top of filter or never longer than three months. (Always check pressure gauge with pump at “cleaning” mode)
  • Run Pool Pump Three Hours prior to cleaning the filter if possible
  • Turn off pool cleaner (close valve)
  • Shut off pool pump. Switch is located in time clock or remote control
  • Loosen drain plug with wrench (do not remove)
  • Open air relief valve located at the top of the filter (twist gauge)
  • Remove clamp band from around middle of filter with wrench
  • Remove tank lid by tilting back and lifting off and over filter grids inside tank. Do not lift tank lid by filter gauge on top of lid
  • Remove drain plug
  • Remove grids and wash with hose
  • Wash out inside of filter tank before replacing grids
  • Replace grids. Tighten drain plug. Do not over tighten. Grease "O" Ring on filter. Place lid on filter. When lid is down on filter, replace clamp band and tighten with wrench
  • Clean out pump basket, this will also need to be done on a weekly basis along with #14
  • Start pool pump. When water is expelled through air relief valve, close
  • Add _____ lbs. of diatomaceous earth into skimmer with scoop provided. Make sure pump is at “cleaning” mode. Each scoop is 1 lb.
  • Allow equipment to run for three hours after adding diatomaceous earth
  • Check pool return line for clarity some debris may come out but the water should clear up within one minute of running, air bubbles are acceptable
  • Turn on pool cleaner if necessary
